ROCKRGRL Magazine and the ROCKRGRL Music Conferences were groundbreaking touchstones for women in music. With a goal of increasing the number of female musicians, making sure women have a voice at all levels in their career and dispelling the myth that women rockers are a novelty, ROCKRGRL was the first organization to serve as an advocate for female artists within the music industry.
Although ROCKRGRL Magazine published its final issue in November, 2005 (to coincide with the ROCKRGRL Music Conference) the mission continues.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to ROCKRGRL over the years in any way: our wonderful writers, artists, performers, advertisers, sponsors, etc.
The spirit of ROCKRGRL lives on - because gender is not a genre.
